International Women’s Day

The UN’s Theme for International Women’s Day this year is: “For ALL Women and Girls: Rights. Equality. Empowerment.”

My celebration of International Women’s Day included speaking at a NGO 69th Commission on the Status of Women Forum event. Here is the recording from that presentation. The event was held in Taiwan and I was able to appear virtually with the help of interpreters. In this speech I discuss a quick history of women in the workplace. My favorite part of the video was 1:34:27. I so enjoyed speaking with the other panelists about the current state of women. The event went so well! I have been asked to consider traveling to Taiwan in the future to participate in a future event. I learned so much from the other panelists as well. If you have the opportunity to watch the video, please comment on what resonated with you.

A little about the NGO 69th Commission on the Status of Women Forum (CSW): The NGO CSW Forum is organized by and for global civil society, non-governmental organizations, and feminists to connect them with the official United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (UN CSW) process. With hundreds of events, the NGO CSW Forum informs, engages, and inspires grassroots efforts and gender equality advocacy around the world. The NGO CSW Forum runs parallel to and complements the UN CSW.
